XACT (short for X Audio Compression Toolkit) is a graphical based front-end (developer using AppleScript Studio) for the following UNIX apps:  Monkey's Audio Compressor (3.99), Shorten (3.5.1), shntool (1.2.3), flac (1.2.1), wavpack (4.60.1), TTA (3.4.1) and cdda2wav 3.0 (with paranoia support).

xACT also makes use of LAME 3.98.4, SoX (14.3.1), AtomicParsley 0.9.0,  TagLib, mp4v2 and a modified md5sum (modified from textutils  2.1) .

XACT will allow you to execute these apps' basic commands and adds several features to speed up the productivity in the creation of creation/use of etree.org standard filesets.
